This collection contains details on recipients of the Victoria Cross, Britain's highest military decoration awarded for valour "in the face of the enemy". A total of 1,353 individuals received the award and the book from which this collection was produced records the final resting places of 1,322 of them, many of them in long forgotten graves round the world.<br><br>The contents of these pages are the result of some 35 years of research, with particular emphasis on recording the exact location of almost three hundred VC recipients who currently have no headstone, memorial or other marker. Featured in the book's pages are: images of the individual and/or location of burial and decorations, date and place of birth, date and place of death, service details and more.
